A Beacon of Light to Moon and Airport Communities
St. Philip’s is well-integrated into the Moon Township community and serves many people outside our congregation. Our annual Kidz Kamp in June draws 500 campers and 200 more student volunteers to our campus. Please view the fun 3-minute video of Kidz Kamp highlights.
We have hosted the Moon High School Baccalaureate service, the Hope Addiction Recovery Group, and other significant community events. We’re also a voting poll place.
A Bible-Believing Church with a Fresh and Modern Campus
St. Philips is located on a large, beautiful, and well-maintained and mortgage-free campus in the heart of Moon. The church averages 250 – 300 people in weekly worship attendance, with approximately 500 people who consider St. Philip’s their church home.
We Value Authentic Community and Worship
The staff culture is one of love, team work, and genuine care for God’s people.
Frequently Asked Questions
Here are a frequently asked questions from our social channels.
These have been answered by our Vestry/Board leaders:
We’re non-denominational, which means we don’t have a denomination (like Presbyterian, Baptist, Assemblies of God, etc.) backing us. We do come from an Anglican tradition. You’ll find people from all kinds of faith and non-faith backgrounds at St. Philip’s. No matter our backgrounds, we are all imperfect people who serve a perfect God.
Worship is much more than music, it’s an intentional way we express our hearts to God and remind ourselves of His love and His promises to us. Most importantly, worship is a way for us to give back to and praise our awesome God.
Our congregation is casual. Come as you are and wear what makes you feel comfortable.
Services are about an hour. The service begins with welcoming others, a couple worship song and announcements. Together we pray the prayer of the day. After the scripture reading our pastors will deliver a message for about 30-35 minutes. We have offering and communion. We end the service with one more time of worship before everyone is dismissed.
The messages are 30-35 minutes long and are designed to address real-world problems by using the Word of God. We use a translation of the Bible that is easy to read and to understand. Our pastors take passages from the Bible and find ways that we can apply those principles in today’s world while making it easy to comprehend.
If you are a first-time visitor we ask that you let the collection basket pass you by. If you become a regular attender we hope that you are moved to support St. Philips. We offer several ways to give.
