Baptism

Celebrating Baptism with you and your family
Baptisms are the celebration of God incorporating adults and children into his family.
During the Baptism ceremony, adults make promises to follow Jesus, parents make promises to raise their children to know Jesus, and the worshipping community makes corporate promises to help the children along on their journey.
We ask that you come and worship with us before making the important decision about baptism to be sure that St. Philip’s is the right Christian community in which to raise your children. It is vital to become part of a local church family.
Baptisms are festive and public affairs
We celebrate them corporately four times a year typically on Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving weekends, and in the season preceding Easter. Most families find these dates helpful as it allows out of town guests an extra traveling day. We encourage you to invite your family and friends to make these important occasions as memorable as possible!
